A joint team from BAE Systems Electronic Systems and Air Prestwick ventured to the Aviation Week MRO Europe exhibition. The exhibition, held at the RAI Amsterdam saw more than 9,000 registered attendees representing 105 countries, including 447 exhibitors and more than 800 airline attendees.
The Air Prestwick team and the Electronic Systems- Controls and Avionics Systems team attended as the joint face of BAE Systems in the Commercial Aircraft domain and spent their time promoting our capability and products within the aircraft Modification and Engineering Certification arena.
The small Business Development team held fifteen meetings over the two days with current customers, future customers, and a variety of complementary service providers proving that this type of forum continues to be of great value. In addition the team were able to take advantage of the numerous networking activities at the event and were able to find opportunities for discussion in forums where Aviation industry intelligence is shared and debated allowing both teams to continue to review their product development strategy to maximise interest within the market.
Alan Wilson, Head Of Sales and Marketing, Air Prestwick commented; “Attending as a joint BAE Systems team allowed us to showcase the wide portfolio of services and products that BAE Systems has to offer the MRO market. The exhibition is a great opportunity for us all to meet future clients and ensure that we maintain our current client relationships as well as get to grips with the latest offerings across the market, and understand what our competitors are doing.”
