| Parts are normally delivered from the European logistics centre (ELC) under an ex-works policy. However, a personalised Spares Shipping Service is also available to manage the transportation of parts all the way to customers' premises, if required. Several delivery options are available, ranging from road transport within the UK to full door to door delivery world-wide including customs clearance at destination airport. |

Services offered include:
The European logistics centre (ELC) is approved for local customs clearance. Containers can be picked up as soon as they arrive at Heathrow Airport for example without having to wait a couple of days for the delivery to clear customs. Parts are therefore immediately available to customers whilst ELC has 20 days to handle the necessary paperwork. Customs & Excise issues are an integral part of any shipping service, and ELC provides the means to handle them. All items are received under C&E End Use procedures, whereby BAE SYSTEMS provide a reference number to allow suspension of duty for up to 5 years for aircraft parts. Whatever the situation, ELC's staff ensure that the minimum charge and inconvenience are passed on to the customer. "LISTED AGENT STATUS" BAE Shipping are now Listed Agents and can benefit from reduced cut off times with the airlines. This enables "YOU" our Customers to make earlier flights and reduce the time it takes to receive your AOG Spares. "NES" We're also fully operational on NES (NEW EXPORT SYSTEM) enabling us to pre-clear all shipments leaving the UK to any destination outside the EU. This System was introduced by Customs earlier this year and is compulsory for all exports. |
