BAe Advanced Turbo Prop (ATP)
The ATP advanced technology twin turboprop is designed to respond to the changing requirements of the regional operator. Powered by modern, efficient turboprop engines and benefiting from modern galley structures, systems and aerodynamics, the ATP achieves lower seat mile costs, greater profit potential and superior passenger appeal in comparison with previous generation 50-seaters. A total of 64 BAe Advance Turbo Prop (ATP) were built between 1986 and 1995/96.

The ATP offers a versatile cabin in passenger and combi configurations.  It is capable of accommodating up to 68 passengers in a cabin that offers passenger appeal and enables a level of serviceability comparable to larger jet aircraft.

The strong airframe, designed for high-cycle short-sector operations, is uncompromising in its durability and maintainability. The primary load-bearing structure is constructed from advanced alloys, with selective use of lightweight composites on non-critical secondary structures.

The ATP is comprehensively equipped with the latest systems, including digital avionics and a second-generation EFIS flightdeck, multiple systems back-up is an integral safety feature. The low, curfew-beating, noise levels are achieved with the aid of slow turning six-bladed propellers powered by clean, efficient PW 126 engines.

The ATP has found a new application as a cost-efficient and flexible freighter aircraft (ATPF), capable of carrying up to an eight tonne payload while meeting today's noise and emissions standards.

AM&PS produce all publications for the BAe ATP.
