BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has recorded strong Jetstream 32 activity for the first half of 2006 with 17 further aircraft sales and leases underlining the continued popularity of the 18/19-seat aircraft in various airline and executive configurations. The business is predicting 30 Jetstream sales in 2006.

These 17 transactions, which cover customers in Canada, Israel, UK, USA, and Venezuela demonstrate the Jetstream’s flexibility to serve various operations, including charter roles in corporate configuration and niche regional airline operations with airline seating.

Transactions announced today for new customers are:

QuikAir of Calgary, Canada is operating two 12-seat Jetstream 32EPs purchased through DAC Financial. The company purchased msn 886 and msn 896 during the first quarter of this year.

Transmandu of Venezuela has purchased two Jetstream 32s. The first (msn 911) was delivered in March with the second aircraft (msn 884) due to be delivered in October.

A further Venezuelan operator, International Aircraft Systems (dba Kavok) has contracted for three Jetstream 32s. The first aircraft (msn 910) was delivered in June, while the remaining two aircraft (msn 971 and 973) will be delivered later this summer.

Repeat Jetstream 32 customer business announced today includes:

Eastern Airways of the UK has extended leases on two of its four 18-seat Jetstream 32s.

Tamir Aviation, the first Israeli Jetstream operator, accepted a second Jetstream 32 (msn 916) during the first quarter. The 19-seater is being used for both domestic and short distance overseas flights.

Vertical Aviation, a company based in Sanford, Florida, purchased a Jetstream 32EP (msn 888). The company specialises in helicopter research, design and manufacturing and operates charter flights for oil companies in Colombia. The company currently operates four other J32s.

Alberta CityLink of Calgary purchased msn 863 and leased an additional aircraft (msn 943). Alberta CityLink operates a nine strong fleet of Jetstreams.

Corporate Flight Management of Smyrna, Tennessee, continued to grow its Jetstream fleet with the purchase of msn 914 and 913. CFM operates a total of 18 aircraft, including eight Jetstreams, and is the largest Jetstream fleet operator in corporate shuttle configuration.

Pro-Flight of Venezuela recently reached an agreement to purchase a Jetstream 32 (msn 909) to add to its existing Jetstream 31 that is in use for charter flights.

Blue Islands (formerly Rockhopper) of Jersey, Channel Islands, has bought a third Jetstream 32 (msn 915) to add to its existing fleet of two aircraft. This aircraft was delivered earlier this year and has joined its sisterships on routes linking the Channel Islands and the UK mainland.
