BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft has sold the last of the Jetstream 31s from its portfolio as part of several Jetstream 31/32 transactions concluded in the first quarter of the year. The company’s current Jetstream portfolio totals 203 aircraft, comprising 128 Jetstream 32s and 75 Jetstream 41s.

These transactions, which cover new customers in Latin America, Europe and the USA, also demonstrate the flexibility of the aircraft in roles such as charter operations, pure corporate and corporate shuttle applications, 19-seat airline configuration and air ambulance work.

The new announcements cover:

Quassar LLC of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has purchased two Jetstream 31s (Serial Numbers 794, 798) this month for charter operations in Mexico. The customer is also considering the future acquisition of a Jetstream 32;

Proflight, a charter company based in Caracas, Venezuela, purchased one Jetstream 31 (Serial Number 784) and accepted the aircraft on April 14. Proflight will use the aircraft for corporate shuttle flights in Venezuela and the Caribbean. This is the first Jetstream 31 sold to Venezuela and follows a number of Jetstream transactions into Latin America, underlying the importance of this region;

Aviation College of Sweden, based in Vasteras, took delivery of one Jetstream 31 (Serial number 806) during the first quarter of 2004 for maintenance training at its facility. ACS is Sweden’s leading institution of basic education and training of personnel for civil aviation. It currently trains approximately 400 students with all courses adapted to the international requirements set by the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) and the European Joint Airworthiness Requirements (JAR);

Aviation Ventures Inc. dba Vision Air of Las Vegas, Nevada, has leased three Jetstream 32s. Two of the aircraft feature corporate interiors with 12 executive seats and one is configured as a 19-seat airliner. The J32s will be utilised for contract charter services, air ambulance operations and on-demand charter services. The corporate configured aircraft will accommodate charter requests and become part of Vision Aviation Management’s ‘JetShares Elite’ programme.
