| Building on the success of its Asset Management activities, BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft has developed an Aircraft Trading and Management Services operation that offers the world-class lease management skills gained over many years to a wider aviation market. Aircraft Trading and Management Services is focused on three key areas: |
|
* Aircraft re-marketing and trading In the years since the formation of Regional Aircraft's asset management operation, the team has concluded over 1,400 individual leasing transactions and sales of over 180 BAE SYSTEMS and non-BAE SYSTEMS aircraft. Experience has been gained in a wide range of products including Airbus, Boeing, Fokker, Embraer, Saab and Fairchild types. Aircraft Trading and Management Services offers its skills to banks and financial institutions/structures, to airlines and also to other leasing entities that need to re-market aircraft. In the past six years since its formation Aircraft Trading and Management Services has brokered transactions and won exclusive re-marketing mandates from a wide variety of customers including recent successes with Airbus A319/A320 family and Boeing 737/757 types. * Lease Management Services/portfolio servicing The Aircraft Trading and Management Services team provides the full range of skills, processes, people and market presence that is vital for effective lease management services. This has been derived from ten years expertise in lease management of up to 450 jet and turboprop aircraft. During this time the team has developed benchmark processes and systems as equipment tools for effective asset management. Using the Decision Support Matrix (DSM) - an industry-leading credit risk system that has been developed based on data from global risk specialists Moody's - assessment can be made of the risks associated with leasing to all airlines and particularly those in the regional sector, both initially and during the term of the lease. The resources, experience and technical expertise available from Aircraft Trading and Management Services ensure that lease obligations are fully met. All contracts are administered using the integrated Contract Management System. Aircraft Trading and Management Services can also offer additional lease management services including tracking the aircraft's status, overseeing the delivery of payments, advising on conformity and adjudication of maintenance reserves. The management of third party aircraft portfolios by the Aircraft Trading and Management Services team is a growing part of the business offering and testimony to the esteem in which the industry generally regards this expertise. Currently, the Aircraft Trading and Management Services business manages over 70 aircraft on behalf of third party owners/lessors. Aircraft types successfully remarketed, managed and advised upon include the Bombardier CRJ200, Airbus A320 family, A300-600, A330, A340, Avro RJ, Boeing 737, Boeing 757 and Boeing 777. * Consultancy services Aircraft Trading and Management Services also offers a full consultancy service to advise financial institutions including banks and Special Purpose Companies, as well as leasing organisations and credit guarantee agencies on aircraft and aircraft transaction matters. |
